Drugstore Haul Part 1 | Mini-Review

Yesterday I was at my favourite store, Shoppers Drug Mart, and a few things caught my eye!

all the goodies...

The first thing I was really excited about was something from the La Roche-Posay counter; their Effaclar BB Blur.

This cream-mousse promises all day matte skin and blurred pores/imperfections. I tested it out today (which was a full crazy day at work) and it held up relatively well in the early spring heat. It definitely got a little shiny at around 2pm but I didn’t even bother blotting (I told myself it was a healthy glow, haha). I really like this product and think it’s got an amazing feel on the skin, blends excellently, and offers light to medium coverage. Right now there are two shade options, Light, and Medium. Kind of a bummer but if you’re fair skinned I definitely recommend giving these a swatch! The colour was a surprisingly good match. I would recommend setting with a powder if you’re an oily gal like me, though!

The next thing my eyes honed in on was another base product that impressed me. Stay tuned for the next mini-review!

What are your favourite BB creams for Spring?

  1. It’s the summer here in my country and I’m also taking ballet classes everyday! I used to pile on make up for everyday looks but I knew it wouldn’t be smart to do that over the summer. So, I got myself lash extensions and I feel gorgeous everyday even without make up <3
